Policy Planning Workshop to Scale Clean Cooking
Delivering on the Paris Agreement through South-South Cooperation: Policy Planning Workshop to Scale Clean Cooking
On Friday, 29th September, Bernardo Lazo, Director of Partnerships and Business Development at Gold Standard, will present at a policy planning workshop hosted by the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves (The Alliance), in coordination with the UNFCCC Secretariat and United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
Hosted in Vienna from September 27th-29th, the workshop is designed to help countries realise the clean cooking commitments included in their climate plans. Part of this workshop includes equipping participants, including policymakers from a variety of Global South countries working, with an understanding of the current climate/environment financing landscape and how to access resources for clean cooking.
Bernardo will present the results from a recent market assessment conducted by Gold Standard, with support from the Climate and Clean Air Coalition and The Alliance, to identify the most effective means to attract funding to support the range of SDG benefits delivered by clean cooking and heating technologies.
