This year's conference will focus on "Growing Impacts: Innovation and Evaluation" and how standards can harness technological advances, new tools and opportunities for collaboration so that they can evolve, improve impacts and scale up.

Gold Standard Conference 2016: Grow to Zero

Zero is a big number. Zero poverty or hunger. Zero net GHG emissions.
Zero net deforestation. Zero biodiversity loss.

How do we get to zero?
More critically, how do we sustain growth along the way?

Navigating the American Carbon World 2016

Navigating the American Carbon World (NACW) will take a close look at domestic and international climate policy, carbon markets and green investments. Session topics will include U.S. and North American climate policy, the road after Paris, the current status and future growth of California’s historic cap-and-trade program, other established and emerging carbon markets, state-level activity under the Clean Power Plan, green bonds, risk management strategies and other innovative environmental initiatives.

COP21 Analysis

For Gold Standard, the Paris Climate Accord provides a good starting point for shaping the transition to a low-carbon economy. It is also a strong affirmation of the need for our work to increase the volume and effectiveness of funding for climate security and to help communities around the world develop sustainably.
