Gold Standard is seeking a consultant or secondment candidate for a 4 month period (April – August, 2024) to build on the work of Gold Standard’s initial framework for corporate mitigation document, published Spring 2023, to create a public document (henceforth Nature Framework) outlining how organisations can authentically take responsibility for their historical, present, and future impacts on nature and to become positive contributors to global nature goals. The intended outcome is a written document, similar to the climate framework, designed to provide guidance for organisations, civil society and other interested parties. This document will serve as a cohesive set of principles and criteria, offering a reliable framework for organisations to tackle their nature-based footprint. The principles and criteria will be outlined clearly, identifying criteria based on best practice and further notes for consideration in areas that need additional development of accompanying tools and guidance. Therefore, it is advisable for the consultant to review and consult the corporate mitigation framework as a valuable guide for understanding the prerequisites of the nature framework.
