Context

In 2022, Gold Standard entered into a partnership with the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), Vietnam and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) through the Business Partnerships Platform (BPP) to implement the project “Scaling carbon markets access for sustainable rice producers”. The primary intention of this initiative is to develop a new platform, the Rice Sustainability Hub, to enable greater access to carbon finance for smallholder sustainable rice producers.

As part of this initiative Gold Standard is seeking an implementing partner to assess the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to reduce barriers to access to carbon finance for smallholder rice farmers in Vietnam at different stages of the project development cycle, specifically project identification and feasibility assessment; and project development and operation.
