The Tool may be optionally applied alongside the Gold Standard's cookstove methodology Technologies and Practices to Displace Decentralized Thermal Energy Consumption V4.0. The Tool proposes digitization of the following key parameters:
1. Digital kitchen performance test (dKPT)
• Digital scales log amount of fuel used in devise during the kitchen performance test (KPT), rather than manual logging.
2. Digital sales platform
• Digitally logs the project cookstoves deployed rather than manual logging.
3. Monitoring of project stove usage (when stove is used and for how long)
• Continuous usage monitoring (CSM) with sensors on at least 5% of the stove allow for nuanced measurement of actual stove usage throughout their lifetime
