Gold Standard and Verra have launched a new tool to help host countries report corresponding adjustments for carbon credits authorized under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement.
The tool provides a single comprehensive record of corresponding adjustments (CAs) for all authorized credits, issued by either standards body, that host countries are due to report in their 2026 Biennial Transparency Reports (BTRs). Depending on each country’s accounting approach under Article 6, the tool automatically populates the required summary table for submission alongside their 2026 BTR.
In accordance with Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement, participating countries must apply corresponding adjustments for authorized carbon credits to prevent double counting. This ensures that an emission reduction is not counted by both the country where it occurred and by the user, such as another country or an airline under CORSIA.
The new tool is designed to increase efficiency and reduce the risk of errors in the reporting process, as well as promote consistent reporting of these units across market contexts.
Gold Standard CEO Margaret Kim said: “Access to carbon markets depends on countries having the tools and infrastructure to participate with confidence. This collaboration removes some of the practical complexity around Article 6.2 reporting, helping host countries access market opportunities while supporting a more efficient, consistent, and credible carbon market overall.”
Verra CEO Mandy Rambharos said: “Getting corresponding adjustments right is essential to the integrity of Article 6.2 and to the trust that host countries and buyers place in these credits. By working together, Verra and Gold Standard can offer a single, consistent resource instead of leaving countries to reconcile two separate systems on their own.”

Notes
- The tool includes authorization and credit-level data available as of 14 August 2026. Should further authorizations and credit labellings occur in the coming months, Gold Standard and Verra may update the tool on a periodic basis to reflect these, thereby supporting their inclusion in the 2026 BTRs.
- The tool only reflects authorisations for activities registered under Gold Standard and Verra. Reporting countries may be engaged in other cooperative approaches under Article 6.2 for which corresponding adjustments will be applied. These are not included in the tool.
