The paper was prepared as part of technical assistance for Pacific Alliance government representatives, to aid understanding of the role of registries in the carbon market, different forms of registries and their uses, and key considerations for governments when exploring the digital infrastructure needed for their engagement with carbon markets.

El documento se elaboró como parte de la asistencia técnica prestada a los representantes gubernamentales de la Alianza del Pacífico, con el fin de facilitar la comprensión del papel de los registros en el mercado del carbono, las diferentes formas de registros y sus usos, y las consideraciones clave que deben tener en cuenta los gobiernos al explorar la infraestructura digital necesaria para su participación en los mercados del carbono.
